buried and rudeness

Do you think, if I try hard enough, that I can get my marking all done by the time I have to write my flipping report cards (yeah, that's not until mid-June)? I asked the kids and they said just stop doing work at school. No work at school? Yeah right! Not on your life! Not with me as their teacher anyhow.

All I want to do is play with my boy and dig dirt in my yard. By the way, the other day... Hunter handed a pen to one of my students and said "Name? Name? H-U-N"

Uhhh what???? The kid's not even two and he just happened to spell the first three letters of his name after asking a boy to write his name for him? I guess he hears it a lot.

A great story about Stupidstore the other day. We were shopping (our monthly grocery trip - we binge-shop). Hunter was wearing thin by the time we got to the cashier so I plunked him into the cart to get him out of the candy aisle. He quickly threw his arms around me and said "hug, hug" (aka pick me up, don't put me in here). I sighed and obliged with a brief snuggle as Justin unloaded the cart for us (clearly a terrible choice to the cashier). The cashier looked at me and said, in an entirely condescending voice, "Whatever are you going to do when you have two?"

Ummm...

Of course after leaving I think of soooo many great things to say to her (and the other cashier in the aisle next to us who felt the need to lean over and inform me that I could purchase a seatbelt to keep my son strapped in so that I could handle him a little bit better).

Yep, gotta love criticism from strangers! My thoughts... "Well, lady, I don't tell you how to swipe my groceries, so how's about you just shut up and do it!"

"Whatever are you going to do when you have two?"...

...Snuggle them both and let them simmer in love!

Since when is loving your child a crime, sheesh.

Oh my goodness! Who does she think she is? Does she really honestly believe that one should only have one child? That everyone should only have one child? That is just ridiculous. URGH. I so detest it when people think they can tell you what they think you should do.

Wow... I can't believe the audacity of some people!

I think... you ARE going to be wonderful with two because you have an amazing, well mannered, friendly, well socialized son.. and ANYONE would be lucky to have a child like Hunter!

So ya.. pffft to her because you're going to be more than fine :)

Okay, now I'm really ticked. Hunter is such an amzing child and loving to boot. He only has so much patience to sit in a cart. I guess you'll have to find a loving and kind way to say "mind you own business". You'll be terrific with two. Man people can be annoying and hurtful. Love Blonde Gwamma

Ignorance is rampant, eh? It's hard to imagine what those cashiers were thinking! They don't have the experience of knowing Hunter and seeing how beautifully you have raised him AND they were totally out of line!

Don't think about it another minute! You know for sure that you'll totally enjoy yourself with two children, just as you are loving being the Mom of one! Tee hee, I can't wait! Love, Mom
