Been a few

It's been a few days longer that it should have been since my last post. There's no particular reason for that other than the fact that I am back to being really tired really early and feeling a tad overwhelmed with the amount of stuff I have left to do with my students in a very short period of time. So, I've been putting off blogging in favour of sleep because, to be honest, I haven't done much of anything else... except maybe dishes.

So, here are a few snippets of fun with Hunter. He is obsessed with the "bat-dard" (yikes, looks bad when typed), and "ah-side" and even the "spwinkler", which he was exposed to. He is constantly keeping us on our toes and his vocabulary is expanding at an incredible rate. He knows half the letters of the alphabet when he sees them and his favourite number is "SEVEN." Which he sees, conveniently enough, as we drive past the 7-11 on our way home from church. I love the kid. He's amazing and I feel so lucky to be his Mom. He always says "pease", "skue me" and "tank yue". We are working on "no, thank you" instead of "no!" which is becoming a favourite and.. oops, he also likes to say "fine." That'd be my bad. "Lahl-voo" is another favourite of his.

Anyhow, there are many stories that I can share about him and I will try to get some more on this blog. In the meantime, here are some of our latest outside adventures...
"Cokay" was sooo awesome. He carried his "hamow" around the yard a couple times, following me to check out the "fowahs" and pull out some "weeees."
"BUS!!"
Hunter wasn't too thrilled at having to put the gear away, but he did. Thanks, kiddo!

The growing vocab is so fun, but watch out for the backfiring of 'no, thank you.'. It's incredibly patronizing, (and yes cute), when you're baby tells you 'no thank you' when you tell them it's time to go to bed, or pick up some toys or something. At our house it sounds like: "Isabella it's time for bed.' "No, thank you." "Yes honey, it's bedtime." "No, thank you very much."

I love that when he was a few weeks old and we went on the camping trip to Paul Lake and played Extreme Crochet (is that how you spell that?), you made a little picture collage of him saying that he was jealous that he had to watch and could not play and 'he' said, "Mom said that I couldn't play until I could hold a mallet."

Now he is holding the mallet!!!

Hunter's just sooooo cute! That second picture totally made me laugh. Don't you love the learning you see almost on a minute by minute basis with your own child?

I don't know why, but I think it is absolutely hysterical to see how kids talk. His little interpretations on how to pronounce words cracks me up...good for you spelling that too! Thanks for sharing, makes me so excited when Chloe starts talking....many months from now granted!
