graffiti artist

When Justin and I bought our house in October, there was some huge graffiti on the back fence (looking onto the highway). It wasn't a huge priority as we didn't ever see it, and we didn't have the cash to buy paint and cover it up. We'd have to paint the whole thing or just have a mis-matched fence... I kinda tried to find a green that would cover it (about a month ago), but the closest leftover green paint was all chunky and gross, plus the colour was waaayyy off. Anyhow, when we did our kitchen, we had a bit of "mellamine" (read "plastic") paint left on the bottom of the roller tray when we were done the cupboard doors. So... we had the bright idea of going out back and painting over the graffiti.

Done... and Done...

Looks not too bad, don't you think? It's been raining a lot the last little while (oh glorious glorious rain)! I went to see how the paint was holding up. Yep, that mellamine stuff sure works.. the water was beading on the paint. I have a "plastic"-coated fence!

P.S. I bet the graffiti artist never thought that he would get global coverage for his tag... you're welcome, whoever you are.
