just gettin' it out there
My son has a tummy attachment. It's not an "attachment", like there is something attached to his tummy, or even that he is physically attached to any tummy.. he just has some need to be near the tummy, most frequently mine. Does he remember being in there? I wonder that quite often. Maybe, it is that said tummy is rather near an area he frequently finds food at (and getting closer ever day - a sad thing). It is a strange thing though. Let me describe it for you.
Hunter and Mommy are crawling on the floor together, playing cars. Yay! Mommy rolls onto her back to watch little man. Hunter proceeds to grin hugely and bee-lines for Mommy. He finds shirt bottom. He lifts up shirt bottom. He reveals no-longer-inny-but-outy-belly-button. He grins again. He slobbers on previously mentioned belly button and blows raspberries all over tummy. He continues to do this a number of time after Mommy puts shirt down and smiles, "No thank you, silly."
It's not just my tummy, it might be yours, too. Come play with us. It's fun!
Tummy story of interest - I was in the hospital for a little under a week with Hunter when he was born. On the final evening I was in there (day 3 post-delivery), I was at the nurse's station discussing my release the following day, should Hunter's bilirubin levels be ok. In walks my pre-natal instructor and a new class of prego moms... She spied me standing (side profile only) at the station and said "Oh, are you on bed rest until your baby comes?"
No, lady, I had my kid... three days ago. Thanks for the observation that I have somewhat of a pregnant-tummy-but-not-pregnant look. Way to trigger some post-partum issues (no worries, it's all good).

I too have a no-longer-inny-but-now-outy-belly-button.
How cute that Hunter likes mommy's belly! How cute!
Hehhee.. Claire (ry's niece) has a raspberry infatuation as well. LOL! I love it!
ugh ... I had that belly too. :(
I HAVE that belly right now!
Hee hee...I always make sure that I hold the babies when we leave the hospital, so people KNOW I'm not still pregnant.
Oh, the jelly belly!
when I was pregnant with Adora, no one was kind enough to inform me that the belly doesn't go away right after the baby comes out. I found that so frustrating to wear my maternity shirt OUT of the hospital.
I have never heard of a no-longer-innie-but outie before. That's kind of weird. I'd like to see that. You don't have before and after shots do you?
LOL Never mind...after having jason (second boy) my husband asked me the following day if they didn't leave a baby in there!
