BUS!

I keep saying that I don't want to be left at home, alone, next year with two kids to transport only by foot and by bus. It might not be so bad.

Hunter and I took a bus trip to the pool yesterday. He had been on it before, but this time he really got it. He had a great time, talking to everyone and pointing out the trees and houses and poking the wall of the bus. Here are some shots of Hunter discovering the bus.

Before heading off to the pool, we spent some time in the garden. If you remember, last year I was wayyyyy keen on gardening for my first time in my own soil, so I started seeds inside in February and wound up with terrible yield and lots of dead plants. It looked beautiful and I had lots of fun, but it wasn't the greatest experience. Rookie mistake. Anyhow, this year, I am taking my time because I have a bit of a belly to work around and won't be as gung-ho this summer, and because I'm trying to be a little more cautious with my precious seeds. So, yesterday we planted SEEDS in the garden, instead of the little baby plants that I did last year. I also started some seeds in my greenhouse, where I plan to grow them all summer. We'll see how it goes.. wish me luck!

I checked out your blog, maybe yesterday?? but I did not comment. I usually only comment on Rachel's blog at www.zalinko.blogspot.com. I live on Vancouver Island and Brentwood Bay is Vancouver Island but is about 100 km. from my place. Do you think I was # 23,000?

Hey Liz.

As a nanny who had to do the bus and kids thing, it is great but one word of 'wisdom'. Don't be in a rush and try not to go during peak times as then it gets very stressful.

Both my kids would love to ride a bus! Gives you a chance to talk about the scenery with Hunter since you don't have to focus on driving.

Good luck with your gardening. I can never seem to find time to accomplish much. This year, it's containers for me.
