trippin'
Well, some of you were maybe wondering about my overnight field trip. I didn't cry myself to sleep because of missing my boys (which I told my students I might). We had great weather, not too cold but we did get fresh snow to enjoy. We went snowshoeing,
built survival fires,
invented animals out of plasticine,
hiked,
made ice cream in a plastic bag, took water, soil and snow samples from all over to test for pH...

It was great. I even got a surprise visit from Hunter. My students were slightly distracted by his presence. Teaching a lesson with a squirmy and curious 21 month old in your arms is HARD WORK! I'm going to have to completely re-do that lesson when we get back to the classroom. By the way... the toque? no showers for two days... as is shown by my beautiful hair!

We had a great time but I was still so glad to get home to my boys, my kitchen and my bed!

Time away is always good. That way you know what is waiting for you!! The trip looks like a success and lots of fun too.
Look at all that snow! And is that a gloworm shirt! Cool! Glad you had a good trip.
Looks like you had fun! Yay for a Hunter visit :)
That bump is getting bigger and bigger!! You look great.. glad to see you are healthy :) Love you!
Looks like a lot of fun, but totally understand the wishing for your own bed.
