Halloween

I've read a few blogs where, this year, Halloween wasn't a big deal. The same goes for us. I had been so busy with our ladies' night preparations and school party preparations that I just kind of let my own Halloween go. No big deal. We arrived home and set about carving our pumpkins and getting candy for the trick-or-treaters. Once we were all prepared and had the finishing touches, it was already 6pm. We ate dinner and waited. We waited and waited and waited... no kids. It was almost 7pm before the first kid (one) came to our door. In the meantime, we had decided that we should take Hunter out. I mean, no kids...? There was a whole block of candy waiting to be collected!!! So, we set out trying to find a costume around the house... J had the idea to put H in his snowsuit and strap the sheepskin onto his back. I thought that I could find something better... and less cumbersome. So, I dug into Hunter's big box of clother "to grow into" and found a sweet little suit with pants, vest and coat. It came from my cousins Christopher and Michael. So, I pulled him into it and.. it fit.
Hunter felt very snazzy.
We headed out, as a marching band harmonica player (complete with harmonica and tunes) and made it to three houses. As the doors were opened for the quietest knocking ever, Hunter decided (each time) that he was done and proceeded to walk into the house and attempt to help himself to the candy bowl.

Needless to say, it was a short night.

What a sweet smile! Just wait 'til next year, he'll be a little more aggressive with that knocking.
