My now-real-life-friend-because-we-met-once, Kristin, has awarded me. She's over here and she's a regular read on my list. She has a lovely little girl who, I think, is going to be interested in Animal Biology from al the zoo exposure she gets... sigh a girl after my own heart. (Kristin, that's a good thing, I studied Animal Bi in university and LOVED it. Still do.) Kristin is so good at keeping up with her family's happenings through her blog. It has been a true pleasure to watch Marin grow.
The rules are as follows.
1) If, and only if, you get the Thinking Blogger Award or The Power of Schmooze Award, write a post with links that make you think, or have schmoozed you into submission.
3) Optional: Proudly display the “Thinking Blogger Award” or the “Power of Schmooze Award” with a link to the post that you wrote.
I have to award three blogs that I read because the bloggers are so good at maintaining the connection made with them through comments. All three of these fabulous ladies write me very thoughtful, positive and personal comments or e-mails on posts that I have written, or in reply to comments I have given them. It makes the blog-world seem smaller and I feel as though I have a true friend in you three, girls, even though we've never met.
Here are my three winners:
If you haven't already read these ladies, I suggest that you do. They blog with honesty and personality as they tell stories from their lives about themselves, their husbands and their 2 (and almost three for Amanda from Phoenix ;) ) kids. Leave them some positive comments and share the bloggy love...Labels: blogging world, contests, pass it on

Aww, shucks. Thanks Elizabeth. I really enjoy reading your blog and it's so easy to leave nice comments when blogland is full of fabulous women figuring out how to have it all! (Is this a chain I keep going?)
Congrats on the award, awesome!
Elizabeth, it's awfully sweet of you to think of me. It's really cool to have gotten to know you and your family through the blogosphere. I'm looking forward to sharing more stories with you.
yep, Amanda, now it's your job to pass it on...
My girl does like her animals thats for sure! :)
Hi Elizabeth!
What a classy looking deck. It looks like a great place to hang laundry, hang out and drink lemonade. That canopy is a good idea. It's fun to see how your family is "shaping" up!
Hi again!
I've finally caught up on your blog. The deck is fabulous. I totally have deck and gazebo envy. I wanted to get one of those for our new place but I think it's too small. Maybe I can get a halfer, or a teeny tiny one. Only 7 weeks left? my goodness!
Hi Elizabeth, Here we are on our last leg of our holiday - in the YUKON. It's really great to see Marty and Mark's new house - so beautiful! The mountains are gorgeous. Yesterday, Rob and the boys built a raft and launched it into Pine Lake - sweet! Today they plan on fishing from it. Anyway, it's really fun to be able to show your blog to the relatives here. Christopher and Michael especially, really enjoy hearing about and seeing pictures of Hunter. Hope all is well with your lovely family.
You totally deserve that award, Elizabeth! It's so hard for me to comment on all the posts I read and you do it all the time - you're amazing! Thanks for commenting on my blog, too, and sending me some Canadian love :)
Elizabeth -
Here I am, more than a week later, leaving note that I've actually read this to find that you've graciously awarded me! Man, do I look/feel like a jerk! No excuses, but definitely a world of thanks for thinking of me. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading up on your adventures with the family. I look forward to even more and hope I can meet more people like you in this crazy blogosphere!!!
*Hugs!*
