I thought they tasted a little soda-y

Well, I made pancakes for brekkie this morning, as requested by Hunter. We measure the ingredients together, he dumps them in and stirs them up. Then he waits, saying "Wait. Jus' wait." with his little pointer finger pointing in the air (honestly, I don't know where he gets that from) until they are ready.

Then... we feast. This morning we topped them with whipping cream and fresh blueberry sauce. Yummmm...

This morning, however, the pancakes tasted a little off. They tasted like I added too much baking soda. As I went throught the preparation process in my head, it occurred to me. Pancakes don't call for baking soda. It's baking powder. Idiot. How many freakin' times have I made this recipe?

Anyone want some soda-y pancakes. They're still good and fresh and hot and edible.

Man, I must be pregnant.

I mess up recipes all the time while I'm preggo too!! I'm usually a great cook, but when I'm expecting I might as well just give up!

Ha ha - that's funny, Elizabeth. I really like your deck roof. I'm sure that you'll enjoy the change. The chairs look nice too. Take care. Miss you so much! Love, Mom
