ranch...

...and not the good kind.
Have you ever smelled a cattle farm or a ranch at branding time? That's what my potatoes tasted like, tonight, at the restaurant we went to. SICK. So sick. It wasn't just my prego tastebuds, either. My Mom agreed with me. So, lesson to be learned - never order restaurant mashed potatoes...

OH yeah - they were gross and I totally agree with what you thought they tasted like, too! So bad! You can't beat those real potatoes steamed at home, can you!
Love, Mom
P.S. We're just leaving now for Kelowna. Thanks for sharing supper with us - even if the potatoes were awful! It was so much fun. I really like the photos I got of Justin, too.

don't go stereotyping all restaurant potatoes now Liz....I've had some pretty amazing garlic mashed potatoes in my day, but I'm too tired to think from where...oh yeah, the Keg!!! Yum yum. ;)
