Looking for feedback
Hi. I am just interested to know about when your babies were born, in relation to your due date, especially if you have more than one babe. What I mean is, if you were induced with your first, were you early with your second and subsequents... I'm dreaming of possibilities, here.
I'm just curious and thought I would inquire. Please leave me a comment to let me know your experiences.

With Hunter, I was "due" May 27th but was glad to be late as it made my sister and brother-in-law's graduations in Kamloops (we were not) a much easier trip and event to attend and enjoy with him still inside... especially since Hunter spent the first four days with an IV because of fever at birth and was readmitted, after 10 hours at home, for two more days with jaundice due to ABO conflict.
Hunter was induced on June 6th (+10 days) at 9am with a cerv gel. Regular painless contractions began at about 4pm that day and he was born at 8:16am June 7th after my water breaking at about 10:30pm June 6th during my request for an epidural. He was delivered with vacuum in posterior position. Hunter's birth story, in full recalled detail, can be read, here.
Baby #2 is "due" August 27th, 2007 but I will be glad to meet him/her whenever it's conventient for him/her anytime AFTER August 1st ;) ha ha. That's not asking much, right?

You know all my stories!
Hi Elizabeth,
I was induced with the first,he was 13 days overdue.A friend told me the second would be half of that, and true that, he was born 6 days overdue (no induction) and my daughter was induced 3 days early as I was passing kidney stones, and they decided to put me out of my misery. She was totally worth it! Joanne
I was 3 days past my due date.
My friend had her first (a girl) 2 month after I had mine and she was 10 day early. The same friend just had her 2nd (a boy (born 5 days before her daughters first birthday) on St Patty's day, ha ha! Irish twins on St Patty's day!) and she was 8 days past her due date with him.
Don't you just love to wonder though, I do too. :)
All three of my babies were two days past their due dates.
I was induced with my first at 12 days overdue, and with my second at 7 days overdue!! I guess I'm just consistent, lol.
Jaia's "due date" (which I think are stupid!) was the 6th of June and he arrived on May 29th. I was sorta expecting to go OVERDUE (which really isn't OVER DUE). I think Mom's should really keep the possibility of a "due month" in mind. It is perfectly natural and ok to go up to two weeks over due.
When was Hunter born?
Eric was 2 weeks early. I lost the plug at 11 pm at night and thought something was wrong so we went to the hosp. The doctor broke my water at noon the next day. I was diabetic with Eric so the doc didn't want me to go too long. He was born less than 4 hours later. No labour pains up to the point of my water breaking. With Tia my water broke at 2 am and we rushed to pack up Eric and get him to grandma's. She was born very quickly too. She was a week early. Both born naturally.
Okay, so here are some mother-in-law stories. My first was one day over due and your lovely husband was 3 weeks overdue. They were going to induce me the next day. Kristin was one day before due date and Devon was 3 days overdure. I guess the moral of the story is, God choses a time and we must be patient. I love you and my new grandbaby. Love Mom
I'm with Kaili on the due dates thing. They are approximate and they can't tell you the exact day your bun is going to be baked to perfection. ;)
That being said- Abby was 8 days late. And those were 8 loooong days.
I just had to add my information to this list of so many overdues. All four of my children were early - starting with you, Elizabeth - 3 weeks early. The same with the next two and then Amanda was about 2 1/2 weeks early. At that time, I was following guidelines I had read in a book called "What Every Pregnant Woman Should Know" that encouraged moms to eat lots of protein to have healthy birth weight babies. All my babies were over 8 lbs., gradually getting heavier with each one. Amanda, the youngest one, was over 9 lbs. and they were all healthy babies. I think it was good advice to beef up (joke) on protein. I also was pretty regular with swimming, which I really believe helped to make the birthing experiences very easy. Elizabeth was born with only 2 hours labour and all the rest were less than that. I could have gotten my ease of birthing from my Mom, who had 8 kids! It's pretty interesting for me to read about moms and how the birthing experiences worked out for them. We all have so many differences, including the genetics of the children we are bearing, that it seems very difficult to predict when deliveries will actually take place or how things will go. Perhaps God is helping moms to be prepared for the uncertainty of parenting by having to be prepared for anything when giving birth. It's one of the humbling things about being a mom to not be able to control labour and delivery but to have to trust that things will turn out fine. One thing is for certain, though - it's totally worth it. I wouldn't trade it for anything!
Love, Mom
I was due November 8th and my water broke on November 3rd at 10:00pm and Chloe was born at 7:38am on November 4th....so a few days early.
HI Elizabeth,
Rylee was two days late and I had an epidural and delivery was smooth.
Brady was 6 days early and I did not have enough time for an epidural, but everything went smoothly
Nash was 7 days late and I ended up with an emergency c-section...
so I had very different experiences with all of them.... the one similarity was two days of labour before the very different deliveries....
Okay, here goes:
The Big Guy arrived two days early. On what was s'posed to be a routine checkup with the midwife I was sent to and checked into the hospital. A little less than 24-hours later he arrived (but only after much adjusting and readjusting of the pitocin and trying to get my contractions regulated). Finally, the staff had to threaten me with a c-section before my body decided to cooperate!
With Lil' Miss Sunshine it's a completely different story. My water broke two weeks early, and within less than seven hours she was born! What seemed like almost an hour of pushing with my first took only ten minutes and ONE push with my second.
They always say the second is way easier - I just had no idea!
Graham was on his due date...and because he was so HUGE, I was induced 10 days EARLY with the other two. So...probably no insight for you. :)
I have just the one little guy. But he came a week after his due date. From the first moment I knew I was pregnant, I had always felt he would be later than the Ob's office kept telling me. Best wishes to you!
My son was almost 3 weeks late but I only labored for 8 hours with him, my first. My daughter was 2 weeks early and I labored for 4 hours, my second child. My third child was right on his due date but I think that's because the Dr. didn't want to work all weekend. I was already at 3 cm on Thursday, he ruptured my membranes and Friday morning around 6 I went into labor...he was here by 9 a.m. Glad I didn't goof off on the whole getting to the hospital thing.
My daughter is due on August 17th and we will find out Monday what she is having. I'm so excited!
Congrats and I'm putting you on my blogroll.
Both my 4-year old and 1-year old came a day before they were due. My wife labored 14 hours with our eldest; 2 hours tops with our youngest.

Conner measured ahead the whole time but they never changed my due date, but he came 3 days early (and not a moment too early!)
I'm gradually getting back into the blog-commenting but I wanted to make sure to stop by here and let you know that I was reading, even tho I wasn't commenting. Hopefully you'll see me around more ;)
Ok since I myself have not had any kids I will tell you of my most recent cousin...
The first baby was a month early and this one, the second was 6 days late...
