A second proposal

So, today, I was proposed to for the second time in my life. I don't suppose this one really counts though, considering that it came from a six-year-old?!
It was quite funny, actually. I was at the front of the classroom, teaching how to look at things from different viewpoints and then draw them according to what you see... All of a sudden this little voice cries out, "Madame, I want to marry you!"
As this is a disruption that is trying to attract attention, I (oh-so-smoothly) ignored it.
Only problem.. the class didn't.
"Eeeewwww gross."
"That's disgusting!"
"You can't marry her."
"She's old." Ummm, thanks.. not that old.
"Yuck!"
"She's already married." Uhh yes. Yes I am.

I got their attention back on track and continued. A little (now I really mean little) bit later, the same voice pipes up. "Madame, I really want to marry you!"

At this point, I decided to halt the conversation. " Why thank you, student. That's a lovely idea and I'm flattered. Unfortunately, I am already married and so I can't. Besides. Like the other student said, I'm old."

Apparently, he liked my hair cut? Or he was a big fan of the 3-D pink star sticker that I put on his drawing the other day...
I can just imagine this kid when he is.. ohh.. 16?!! Whew!

Here's the hair cut. You said short and boy-oh-boy is it short!

On another note, Hunter has apparently NOT inherited my knack for saving... here he is... 17 months old and already busting into the piggy bank.
I was so sad that he broke it. But, seriously, what parent gives their toddler a ceramic toy (taken down off of the "Hunter-doesn't-touch-these-things" shelf) to distract them from a diaper change and still hope to see it unbroken in about twenty minutes? Apparently my husband.
Hope that your Monday was a good start to the week.

LOVE the new do! VERY cute! Hunter cracks me up! Look at that face. I can almost hear him say, "What! I don't see any money?"

Statistically men are more afraid their wives will cut their hair than they are that she will gain weight. Short hair is yuck.

It's too bad, then, that my husband thinks it looks good (or at least he knows to tell me so ;) ). His opinion is really all that matters to me. Thanks for your feedback, though.

Ian broke his piggy bank too. The sound of breaking glass stopped my heart. Thankfully he's ok.

Cute story about the marriage proposal. That's a keeper.
