Here's my 100

Well, I have read a great many blog-friends' 100 things so I thought that I would join the crew... enjoy and don't worry if you can't get through all of it.

I wonder if I have 100 readers? I'm going to challenge all of you that read my blog to comment, once, to see if I have 100 readers, to go with my 100 Things about me.

Without further adieu..

1. My boys are sleeping, so I'm blogging instead of doing report cards.
2. I feel like I am good at writing report cards, but I probably suck.
3. Maybe that inner doubt is why I still have 20 left to do.
4. I love teaching,
5 but I kinda wish it wasn't so much work.
6. Eventually, it will be less at-home work because I will know what to do.
7. Last night I phoned the lady whose mat leave I am covering in grade 1
8. I'm only there until Christmas
8. I kinda hoped that I would get to be there longer
9. I love those kids.
10. I am learning so much there
11. My teaching partner, is incredible!
12. It's been an interesting transition from sponsor teacher to teaching partner.
13. Sometimes I still forget
14. This is my job.
15. I am really really really going to miss those little grade 1 kiddies
16. I have three teaching partners - all incredible!
17. It makes report cards a lot harder, but a lot easier at the same time.
18. I only have 5 teaching weeks left before Christmas.
19. When I was little, I wanted to be anything but a teacher.
20. Because of the bringing home marking thing.
21. Then I worked in a science camp.
22. Alright, teacher it is.
23. I think it's becuase I like being in charge
24. and the centre of attention.
25. I know I know, oldest child!
26. I feel sad for my siblings sometimes...
27. That they had to live with me
28. and I was (am) so bossy.
29. I think that I ruined their stocking experiences at Christmas.
30. I would open theirs and tell them what they got.
31. I love my siblings
32. I have a brother,
33. and two sisters
34. I thank God for them everyday
35. I'm so proud of them, growing up and being so amazing.
36. My brother is leaving for Panama today
37. He'll be gone for Christmas
38. My baby sister leaves for Katimavik in less than two weeks.
39. She'll be away for nine months.
40. I'm going to miss them.
41.A LOT
42. My other sister lives in Prince George, right now.
43. I miss her, too.
44. Hunter and I like to phone her.
45. She'll be here for Christmas (whew).
46. I like hosting parties at my house
47. Maybe it's because of 23 and 24?
48. I love cooking,
49. and baking,
50. but I really dislike cooking dinner after working all day.
51. I'm lucky that my husband takes such good care of me.
52. I'm so blessed by him.
53. I hope that all my siblings get to be as happy in marriage as I am (or happier even, if that's possible).
54. I love my house.
55. I love my yard.
56. I don't love all the yard work,
57. but it's worth it.
58. Just because I always dreamed of having a yard,
59. and a garden
60. The garden thing is a whole different story.
61. I learned a lot in my rookie year of gardening.
62. Like... never plant so many tomatoes
63. I threw most of them in the compost.
64. It turns out, that we can't eat that many tomatoes.
65. Plus, they weren't very good.
66. I still have lots of garden-learning to do
67. I used to play basketball in University
68. I loved it
69. I thought that I was pretty good in high school,
70. then I joined a higher-level team
71. I was terrible.
72. I got good, though.
73. Sometimes, I miss it.
74. Mostly not.
75. My first year, I was so bent out of shape
76. because of how intense it was, at university
77. I slept all the time.
78. My Mom thought that I was on drugs.
79. I wasn't.
80. I never have been.
81. I have never tried smoking, either.
82. It makes me feel sick in teh pit of my stomach to think about it.
83. Okay, I lied about the drug thing...epidural
84. Pretty much the greatest physical relief I have ever experienced.
85. But I felt soooooo guilty.
86. Still do.
87. Next time, I'd like to go natural.
88. We'll see how it goes.
89. As you probably can tell, I want to be pregnant again.
90. It makes me frightened to think that I might not be able to.
91. No real reason that I fear that, I just do
92. I'm trying so hard to trust in what God has planned for us.
93. I like being in charge, I said before...
94. It's really hard to let go
95. and give it to God.
96. Hunter is the happiest little guy
97. He loves to hold hands before we eat, to say Grace.
98. It's the cutest thing.
99. He puts out his hands, bows his head and peeks out to look at everyone else, so make sure we are doing the same.
100. and I'm done.
Now.. leave me a comment!!

I think you cheated on the 100 things list - some of them were just continuations of the sentence before - JUST KIDDING! You're amazing, Elizabeth! And.......you left your diaper bag here! I love you two and that cute little boy of yours! You and Justin have done an amazing job of bringing him up! It's so fun to see the two of you in him! (News flash this morning - Owen is out of the incubator now - in his own crib!! Pretty exciting, eh? Janice called with the news.)

Hi Elizabeth,
I'm Linda's sister in law and I love reading your blog!! Your Hunter and my Emily must be very close in age (she was born April 29, 2005) Potential girlfriend..... I just finished nursing her as well at 16 months, and as she is my last of 3, it was very emotional to stop. Anyways, keep on blogging, I am a faithful reader. Joanne

Ok so this is the first time I commented on your blog, but I read it all the time. It's how I keep track of you guys... :). That and the babbling phone calls (LOVE them). Miss you, see you at Christmas. I bet by then Hunter will be able to say, "I love you Auntie Heather" :)

I found you! I think you commented on my blog once and so I snooped on your site a bit. I lived my early years in Clearwater so felt a connection since you live in Kamloops. Then i noticed you mention Wynter. I wondered for a moment if it was the one that I sort of know. I just found out a few weeks ago that it is indeed the same person. But then I couldn't remember who it was who mentioned her. Anyway, I enjoy reading what you've written, although I won't attempt to read allll your archives so will have to get to know you from here on in. So I intend to snoop your blog regularly. How do you know Kristin Foulds? Wynter won't likely know my married name, but my maiden name, Madland.

See you "out there" :)

Rachel

Great list, Liz. It's cool to see how many people actually read a blog. I'm impressed.

That would be cool to get 100 comments, so I'll add to your numbers. I think you read mine too...they're sure fun.

Found you via Rachel and came to check out your blog. Won't just lurk as I'd love to help you make your hundred goal!

Enjoyed your hundred list, as I am a (not currently working) primary teacher who love K and Grade 1. I also did a mat leave and was VERY sad to say goodbye to "my" K kids!

Well here I am adding to the list. I think I'll do a 100 list... It's cool that you did one because it shows me how much we have in common that I didn't realize!

Love these lists, I've been away from my computer for a while, so I have a lot of catching up to do. Sorry I took so long!!

I grew up wanting to be a teacher, and an astronaut! Ha!

So cute envisioning Hunter during Grace and peeking at everyone.

I read your blogs too Liz but I rarely comment... don't know why.

Take care, Angela
