Good little landlord

So, we have a tenant in our basement. It is a huge blessing to us because without him, and he's terrific, we couldn't afford this house. Well, actually I trust that we would be okay, but really he is God's help on the financial aspect...
Our tenant is gone for a little bit and we are being good landlords looking after a few repairs and up-keep things that need to be done. It's so funny that I have only been in that part of my basement (our computer room and shared laundry room are both downstairs) two times in the whole looking-at-the-house, inspecting-the-house, buying-the-house process. Today was the third time I've been in there in the nine months I've lived here!

You know what is crazy?

This whole house is ours! Even the part we never go in. Justin and I bought it and paid for it. Well, actually, I guess it is the bank's... Anyhow, it's fun to dream about someday when we can afford to live without a tenant (and need to because our kids need more space)... but for now, I am so thankful to have one!

That would be weird walking into a space you've owned for nine months but that you've only seen twice. Even weirder because it's actually a part of your home, not some rental property halfway across town.

See you Saturday hot mama.

I love hearing about the houses there and the basements you have. We don't have houses with basements here.

My old boss once told me:

YOU own the house, but the bank owns YOU.

Hee hee

I sent you an email :)
