House... in progress
Whohoo.
So, we finally are in our house, however, we are not IN our house because we are painting. Whew - now isn't that a lot of fun. Hunter is doing pretty well. So far, he doesn't really like the house because whenever we are there, he is put into the bouncer to occupy himself as all (pretty much) his adoring fans paint, sand, prime, edge... you know. So, he has become quite the attention seeker, which is funny. Hmmm he must have picked that up from me - dang it!
I didn't have my camera the first night that we went in there and right away we started peeling wallpaper, then when I did have it, the battery died pretty much right away. So... you kind of get a snippet of the before pictures. The shots I have don't really do it justice. Then, you have the during pictures, because, at this point, there are no after shots. Well, actually our bedroom an bathroom are now completed. Yay! We are hoping to get into the house this week in the evenings and then move it all this weekend. Today, we are hoping to get a big chunk done because we both didn't get a sub call (sucky for the money but nice to spend the time together on the house).
So, without further adieu... here they are - The first shots of the deVries residence.

This is the living room looking into the cathedral entry. This gorgeous colour was carried throughout the hall (on the right, past the entry) and through the whole living room.
Here is the kitchen. You can see that it is a disaster, pretty much. This orange was carried through the dining room (where I am standing when taking the pic) and all through the kitchen with a big orange wall behind Justin.

This, here, is the master bedrrom sans 3D wallpaper. This was a very enjoyable memory for us. We had Kristine, Heather, Amanda, AJ, Devon and Sarra all helping us peel wallpaper! I don't know about you guys, but I had a great time. Thank you for your selfless helping. The yellowish colour is painted onto the two walls behind me, in our room... Not anymore...

Here is the same (almost) angle shot of the bedroom when it was almost finished. Now, it is all touched up with another coat of the burgundy, so that it actually looks burgundy instead of pink/red, and it's all ready to be slept in.
This photo features the tub in our bathroom. You can see that the colour is very different already, not done yet when this pic was taken.

And here we have the opposite side of the living room from the first picture I put in. This one features the fireplace and shows off the dark blue with the other walls only primed at this point. Whew! What a lot of work!
Extreme thanks go to Henry and Fran, Rob and Ann-Marie, Heather, Amanda, AJ, Devon, Sarra, Kristin, Ian and Kristine who have all helped us sooo much in getting the place all together!
More pics to come soon.
