Child of God

This weekend we had a terrific visit from my good friend, Wynter, and her son, Storm. It was a very enjoyable time which featured nights staying up to 1am, talking, cooking for our baptism reception, making killer tzadziki with 7 garlic cloves, and just good times hanging out. I was so happy to have Wynter in my house, to be here for Hunter's baptism and to see me become a member of Sahali Fellowship.
Hunter was baptized in a lovely service on Sunday. As well, as I said, I became a member by sharing my statement of faith with the congregation. I was blessed to have many of my family members and friends attend to support Justin, Hunter and I. Thank you to all of you.
After the service, we hosted a bit of a reception at our house. It was crazy. There were probably about 40 people in our house and there was enough food for everyone! Wow! After the crowd had left and things died down a little, I had a nap with the kid and Justin entertained himself on the computer, argh, EverQuest. We were invited to dinner at J's parents' house, so we packed up Hunter and walked the fifteen doors down to go for dinner. This is the sight with which we were blessed.
It was, perhaps, the most incredible rainbow we had ever seen. It was so beautiul, it felt like it was a gift exclusively for us, yet we wanted to knock on every single door to share it with them.
What an incredible symbol of God's covenant and so perfect that it would be seen on the day that Hunter was baptized as one of God's children. It was a sign for us to remember that we are all God's children and that we need to give thanks to Him.

I am so happy for you Liz. I know you are a wondrful person, and now I know that your family and friends are just as wonderful as you are. You have surrounded yourself with special people. Sounds like the move to Kamloops was an excellent choice.
