Out and About
Hunter, Susannah and I have had a couple adventures these past two days. It feels so nice to be doing stuff with my two kids. I have been loving being at home with the kidlets, but it has been great to finally get to do the programs and things that I dreamed of doing with Hunter when I am at work. I just hope that I have the same opportunities to spend quality time with Susannah when she is Hunter's age.
Justin got called in to work yesterday and Hunter has been such a little peach with his sister, that I decided we needed to get out, plus I have been feeling pretty fantastic. So, we headed off on our first bus adventure (one car house neccessitates bus use) with the three of us. I had Sooz in the wrap (love it) and I had Hunter in the stroller loaded with doubly-diapered diaper bag (which I didn't even need - awesome). It was great. Hunter was thrilled to be on the bus (it drives right past our house and he says "Ohhh, big BUS" every time he hears it and waves when he sees it) and Sooz just slept the whole time. We went to the gymnastics place which is right by the university. As I was walking down the hill I thought to call my little sister, who is going to school there, to see if she wanted to hit the gym with us. Turns out that she was free from class then and so she came to join us. It was wonderful because, though I had planned to wear Susannah the whole time, and she would have been fine, Amanda just snuggled her for the hour while Hunter and I ran around like lunatics and enjoyed ourselves on the trampolines and different apparatus. I was so glad to get out on a beautiful day like it was yesterday.
Then, today, we went to a playcare session in the morning. It is a free program that runs every day out of one of the local schools. Hunter really enjoyed himself and got a chance to spend some time with other kids his age. Crazy observation... out of 12 kids there, there were only two boys!! Anyhow, it was great and we look forward to going again. Any local readers want to go sometime? Give me a shout!

I hope I have your energy! Once again, you're inspirational!
Wow! Sounds like an amazing day. You are so blessed.
I'm so glad you get to spend time like that with your kids. I know I feel completely spoiled that I get to take mine out and about and do fun things with them. Enjoy!
Mother Goose is also starting and You'd like that program too.
Wow look at you go! :) Sounds like things are going awesome, and the kids are being good to you. ;)
I really give you credit. I rarely go out alone with both kids. I don't like being outnumbered. LOL!
Wow! I too am more of a homebody now that I have more than one. It's so great that you're getting out and about already and really 'beginning as you mean to go'.
Yes, it sounds like fun. But...you missed telling about the most fun - visiting my classroom! The kids really liked playing with Hunter and seeing Susannah! And today, some teachers were talking about what beautiful grandchildren I have! During Parent-Teacher Conferences, lots of kids were pointing out the photo of Hunter and Sooz, to show their parents. Lots of fun! Thanks so much for dropping by!
