Everything Is Food Food Food

Well, at eight weeks pregnant, this is pretty much my mantra. Do you remember the good old version of Popeye, with Robin Williams? Well, that version is my favourite. I love it. I've seen it quite a few times and I'd love to watch it again. However, that is besides the point. There is a character, Wimpy, who is all about food and he loves to eat and eat and eat. Oh to be him... and to have all kinds of delectable tastes ready at my desire. That, however, is not my reality.

I'm hungry all the time, but I'm not hungry. I want to eat, but I don't. I am thinking that this-particular-meal would be expecially tasty and terrific, but I need to eat it RIGHT NOW, otherwise I am going to be sick. I dream about meals that I want to create and devour, then I open my fridge to begin the process... quick, the couch! I need to get horizontal because the odour of the fridge just set me on another wave of nausea. Seriously, my dreams are ALL focussed on food. At this point, radio and television ads for food are fantastic for the producers becuase, you'd better believe that I want to eat what I am seeing. Like ice cream sandwiches..... yummmmm. And, did you know that today is Taco Tuesday? I'm thirsty but I can't drink plain cold water, because it makes me throw up, nor can I drink chocolate milk. The other day I finished off nearly an entire big bag of salt and vinegar chips while sitting in the car.

I'll just get it over with and say it right now... I'd like to start a new kind of baby pool. One where you get to post guesses about how much weight I'm going to gain!! The winner.... well, maybe you can get one of my lovely teacher pictures to commemorate my pre-preg weight. Hahaha

I'm gonna guess that you're gonna gain 26 pounds. See how nice I am?? And then I'm gonna guess that I'll gain 50 and cry everyday. LOL. If I win, I totally want one of those teacher pics!

Relax Liz! With two kids to chase around you will quickly loose any weight you gain. Congratulations on the pregnancy.

I remember being hungry ALL THE TIME too! I was lucky and didn't have any of the up-chucking though.

You found a way to use your pictures, brilliant! I think your body is trying to figure out what "nutrients" it needs, but then it changes its mind last second making you feel sick. I'm with you on the salt and vinegar chips, YUM!

And you are little miss active, so it won't last long!
I remember visiting you when Hunter was 3 weeks and if it wasn't obvious he was yours... I NEVER would have known you'd given birth!
So meh.. roll with it!

I hope you feel better hun *hugs*

Ooh, an unfair question. I'm going to guess 30 lbs. I think that's the most of all the guesses here, but you are thin and 30 is average weight gain. I suppose it's a little bit of a boring guess. So exciting, to be expecting a precious baby!!!

I totally sympathise, this last few days my appetite has gone crazy, I wake up in the night wanting a three course meal but know that I'll only throw it up later. As for weight gain I guess 21lbs you're so tiny

Awwww, I feel your pain. I can still remember the odor of the fridge sending me running for the bathroom and then straight to the couch. I craved salt & vinegar chips WITH hot chocolate! Talk about gaining weight...

I hope you're able to find something that suits your palate and tummy soon!
