Fort Building

We finished our snow and ice fort today. It was pretty cool. Hunter doesn't like his gloves so our outside time was shorter than we initially thought....

The frozen balloons were the coolest thing, although.. strangely the orange and red ballons are still liquid, while the white and blue ones froze... any ideas why this happened?

Shades of Pine Crescent - our friend, Anna(the person who introduced us to making ice forts that way, during Elizabeth's childhood years) will be grinning from heaven, watching you, Elizabeth. I'd like to come and see your fort! It looks like so much fun!

Wow great idea.... I feel inspired. Maybe we'll head outside for some winter fun when my kids are better.

Those are some pretty cool photos (pun intended). I have no idea why some colors would freeze and some would not. Sounds like a great experiment to conduct!

I'm having a tree decorating contest. Come by and check it out!

Oooohhhhh I LOVE your Ice Fort. How did you freeze the balloons? Fill them with water I'm guessing. We will try that for sure! We just need a little more snow and cold weather.

Fun, fun, fun!
