Just noticed...

If you are interested and have heard about cone-headed babies from vaccum extractions and non-caesarian delivery... if you double-click on the picture of newborn Hunter and I (Monday's post), you can see the result of his vaccum delivery - biiiiig purple bruise on his head. The first time I saw him (about a half hour prior to this photo) I said "Wow, you look... special." For all you new moms out there, it's not so bad... he turned out pretty cute. The bruise went away really quickly and his head is normal-shaped!!

Anyhow, I just noticed that as I was admiring my newborn son... again....

Wowzers, that was quite the bumpy bruise! Poor little fella. I wouldn't have noticed it in the picture unless you had mentioned to click on it make it bigger. :) He's a beautiful boy.

Babies heal so quickly. They are amazingly resilient little people. New parents are always worried when their baby's head look so 'deformed' but when you think about what they have just endured, it makes total sense. I've seen some pretty bad looking heads in my career and Hunter's head looked pretty good for a vacuum delivery ;)
