There may come a time...
...when my family might not appreciate the fact that we just bought SIX squash at the grocery store. Yep, you heard me... six. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6! Two acorn, two spaghetti, and two zucchini. We. Love. Squash!
I'm excited to have my garden so that I can grow my own. It's a long way from there, though...... the seedlings, that I was so excited about, are "leggy" and, apparently, that is not a good thing. So, they are under a grow light, trying to grow properly... I'll let you know how it goes... For now, they are just tall and "stem-ish."

Squash - what a great vegetable! Luckily, you will most likely have no trouble growing an abundance of those lovely veggies in your garden this year, Elizabeth! As for your "leggy" seedlings, I hope the extra light will help them out and they will "see the light", so to speak, to become strong little plants for you!
It's very heartwarming to see you so interested in your garden's potential. Keep up the great work! (sorry for sounding so much like a teacher! Occupational hazard!)
Love, Mom
Hey, well, I guess you inherited Mom and Dad's love of squash and not my.. dislike... for it. Anyway, hopefully Hunter likes it when he's older cause I know it's a healthy veggie! I guess I gotta work on that one.

P.S. Tell your seedlings it's okay, and in fact quite cool, to be leggy.
Cool! My seedlings are...non-existent :)
