Weekend comes early!
Yess.. finally I get to enjoy my planned three-days-a-week work assignment. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time working full-time those few weeks, but I missed my house and I felt a little (that's putting it lightly) stressed out about balancing home and work.
Today, is Thursday and it's the first day of my weekend! Yipee!! So far, I have done a number of things, but one of them was go to school. That's right, I went to my class to visit. It's so funny. Walking into the classroom holding Hunter... it didn't feel like my classroom anymore. I'm glad to turn over the reigns of full-time teacher, to someone more experienced but it feels like I'm losing something that I had. And loved. I love my students. I miss them. How sad is that?
On another note, I'm thinking of applying for another day of work. There is another one-day-a-week assignment coming up at one of my schools. It's grade 6/7 French Immersion. Initially, I thought NO WAY, but now that it went through one round of posting and nobody applied, I think that I might stick my name in there. I talked to the teacher today and she says that it would be PE (yay), Science (double yay), and another block of whatever I would decide. That sounds pretty fantastic to me! I can definitely handle science, in French, at that level. And.. guess what? I've done it before, so it would pretty much be pre-planned (well, at least one unit would be)! How sweet is that?
We'll have to see what the hubby and I decide when he gets home today. Hmm... I'll definitely miss the two days off, but one extra day is prety good... and we sure could use the money.

Sounds like you've got a great job! Maybe you should work more so you can get a lot of EI when Baby #2 comes into the picture :)
Angella, that's a great point. Why didn't I think of that?!
I'm glad things are going so well.. and you're NOT silly for missing "your" kids.. I'm sure they will miss you too because you are amazing! :D
Good luck with the new assignment if you decide to go for it...
Angella does have a good point.. go for it ;) I know I can't wait for a new DeVries baby!
Missing the kids, I remember those days. Are you teaching in public or private schools?
