French, a bad rap and games night

I'm thinking in French again. It's a good thing. It sure makes planing for French Immersion easier... especially when it turns out that I will be working a lot more, this first month, than I had anticipated. I will be 0.2 at my one job (like normal), then I will be the rest of the week at the other one. I am excited to have my students for more time, but I am also nervous. I do realize that I could have said "no", so I shouldn't complain about it. I'm not really complaining, just expressing my trepidation about working full time. My teaching partner was in a car accident and is on leave until she is feeling better. Please keep her (and a stressed out me) in your thoughts so that we can soon return to the plan for the year... thanks! So, Justin will probably be at home with the boy, on the days that we hadn't aniticipated me working. It's fantastic that we are lucky enough to be able to have him at home, but I know that he is anxious to get busy at work, as well. I hope to be able to line up babysitters for those days, in case we need me to sub Thursdays and Fridays during the rest of the year. Anyone interested?

I've told a freaky story about my blood donation last time. I should expain that I have never before had an experience like that. It could be because I'm still nursing?. Anyhow, if you are thinking about donating blood, please don't let my horror story discourage you. I will donate again. Next time, you better believe that I will down the protein and fluids before I go. My suggestion... just let the nurses know your anxieties, it helps.

Last night, we had a games night. We played some sweet games, but because of the high numbers we didn't quite get into the games that we had most recently purchased. Too bad. We played Quip It (Thanks Dustin and Christy) and Suburbia (a new one that Jamie and Kim brought). We laughed and had fun until midnight. Then, after most of the gamers had left, Jen, Wendy, Justin and I played Settlers of Catan.. until 2am. It was a sweet night. Thanks guys.

Next games night... soon... I just have to get ready for school.

LOL! You guys are so awesome.. I loved my Hunter hugs, and I am so glad that we have the kind of friendship that is so easy and comfortable.
Love you all!

Hi Liz,
I too have had that experience with the giving of blood. I found that I just need to plan and stay longer in order to feel well enough to leave.
Good luck with getting back to school. You'll be fabulous.
Maureen
