Cupcake kid
oops. I've exposed my child to a cake-like substance. Let's face it, a cupcake is cake.... I have given him cake. The neverending cake deisre has been instilled. Good thig that I also love cake (see this story) But, really, now, who of my baby-sitters (you wonderful people) hasn't already fed him something that isn't on my picky-mother-preferred-food list? Just because he is OH SO CUTE when he eats it.... And sooo willing to shove it in his face. I love it that my kid is in a stage that he will eat pretty much whatever I put in front of him (including fridge magnets to learn the alphabet - just joking, he's only almost ten months old). We'll see how long the eat it all thing lasts, eh?
Since he was sick a few weeks ago, Hunter has just come back to his perky eat-everything-I see-just-like-my mother self. Whew! It's great, but I can already see my grocery bills skyrocketing.
Back to my point.. Justin and I were at the church potluck tonight. It was great dinner and great company. But, someone had made cupcakes. Actually, it was Jacquie, and they were terrific! I was contentedly shoving my face full of cupcake (umm number three maybe) when my son's face appeared thisclose to mine, mouth agape, shining teeth bared. Justin brought Hunter's face to mine and... voila - mouth FULL of cupcake, actually.. face full. It was so funny and Hunter was too thrilled with it, laughing with his mouth shoved as full as it gets. It was so cute, in fact, that we had to call everyone over to see it again, and again. Awww....
P.S. we all know that I wasn't kidding about the alphabet thing, and how come he still hasn't learned to pick up his toys???

That was so incredibly cate and funny. What an amazing child you have there. Amber said to me tonight that I laugh really funny and do lots of silly things when Hunter is around. That can't be true can it???????????? Love Grandma d.v.
Kids do love cake so LOL :)
Cupcakes are even better than regular cake for some reason. Well, except that chocolate cake. It's just the best there is.
Nothing wrong with chocolate...it's a staple in our house :)
