Baby measles!!!

So, It turns out that the fever Hunter had over the weekend wasn't for no reason, as his throat swab results showed. He has baby measles. My Mom took him into see our family doctor yesterday whileJ and I were at work (we have the same doctor). It turns out that the fever - which is never related to teething, says he, was because he had the measles and was contagious. I stayed home Tuesday because he was a crying mess and I am glad that I did because we had a tub together and I saw the spottiness of his little body. So, I made the appointment and tadaa - baby measles. Whew. A short story longer, eh?

Well, we are happily on the road to recovery. Again, today, I did not get called in. I'm wondering if there is a reason for this week' s slowness? I know that I did have to cancel a job on Tuesday - sicky, but I have applied for a three month position at 0.6 in a grade one classroom. Hmmm... Am I supposed to enjoy this time at home, while I have it? I'd love the position because I know the students quite well, having TOC'd there a number of times. But, with my teaching experience in this district at the minimal... I doubt it will fall to me! Well, we'll see what the plan is, won't we?!

Hunter is also cutting him top two (or three, I thought initially) teeth. What a keener on the tooth-growing. He has two bottom teeth at 5 months old and now, at 6 months, he is cutting two more! The poor little guy is not very happy about me trying to look at his top gum, anymore. I think they must be coming through today. Maybe we will go brush his li'l guys.

No, as far as I know, you can't get them. He was only contagious on the weekend, when he had the fever. Steal away...

I know you are enjoying the time you have at home. If the job comes your way, grandparents are so wonderful. I know that Hunter would adjust quite well. He has a awesome set of parents.
