Feeling Old
Today, I feel old. I'm currently playing in a soccer tournament, with my team. We're on day #3 and heading into game #4 (the semi-finals). I'm sore. I'm tired. I'm hot, so hot that I am sweating from places I didn't know I could sweat from! I'm whiny. It's trouble...
There was a time when the scorching heat didn't really bother me. Four games in three days?? Sure! Sounds great. No fazing me, I would just go run around some opponent and then kick a blistering kick. Now.... not so much.
However, I am pleased with the fact that I can still run and play sports after Hunter was born. Brief story... he was born June 7th/2005, I played a soccer game in August (the last league game, I had been on the roster all season, my coach was hoping I'd be ready to play right away... not so much), It was pretty funny. I nursed Hunter when I subbed off, he had never had a bottle before that time and was a little sketchy drinking it. He had been outside lots, but wasn't in the best of moods. My game.... I pulled a leg muscle on the first kick I tried and an arm muscle on my first throw in. I couldn't walk the next day, or the next...
So, compared to that... I feel pretty good about my game. But, compared with my self of a few years past, it's a sad comparison. I shouldn't complain. There are worse things in life... like paying too much for a vaccum!

OH Liz you are too funny.
I shot hoops the other night for the first time this summer and probably the first time since last year...
Oh my god.
Muscles were aching in places muscle's should not be aching! I was just shooting hoops for pete's sake.
It was at that moment I too felt old.
You could just be like me and sit on your rear ALL the time.
Enough with the vaccuum already. I would LOVE to see you hire a maid. Could you imagine!
