6:30am???

So, after my last-night past about staying up late and sleeping in, I awoke this morning at 6:30. Actually, it was 6:27am. I know because I looked at the clock and thought, "What the heck?" I did go to bed immediately after blogging last night, so it was about 10:30pm but what's up with this? I suppose that it was a good thing I was up so early - today is our garbage day, our watering day and I left a whole bunch of canning dishes out last night because I was so frustrated with my stupid apricot jam (over an hour's work for three pints!??). So frustrated, in fact, that I ditched my canning and went for a swim in the neighbour's pool. "Raspberry jam will just have to wait for tomorrow", I thought. Well, that's all fine and dandy but now I have to deal with it today.

Hunter has been sleeping fairly well, lately, not through the night yet (argh), but what we have going works for us. What can I say? I'm trained! Anyhow, we took down his crib last week because he wasn't sleeping in it anyways. He would sleep, with me, in the spare bed until I woke up and crawled into my own bed. Then, when he awoke, I would crawl back in with him. The only problem now with his bed on the floor is that it's going to put a damper on my attempts to have him stay in his bed and sleep through the night. Hunter figured out how to get out of the tent, when he awoke, and crawl out into the campsite, so I'm pretty sure that his bed won't stop him. In fact, I quite enjoy it when he crawls (scoots) out to see us! Again, I'm trained.

So, now it is 7:47am, my water is on, my garbage out and I made a dent in the kitchen mess... I'm going back to bed, perhaps I can convince my son to doze with me?!
