Speed and Water

Mmmmmm... fingers!
Hi everyone, Hunter here. I wanted to fill you in on my latest adventure.

Today was a great day. I had my first speedboat ride, today. Mom, Dad and my Auntie Amanda went to a get-together on Lake Okanagan at our friends' place - Steve and Kim. It was super nice to spend the day by the water.
We went to go get ice cream by boat in Peachland. Whew! What fun. Because I am still really small for a life jacket to hold me up (I'd probably fall right through), I was in the Snugli on Mom's chest while she wore a life jacket. I wasn't very impressed to be stuck in the Snugli when we were so close to a thing of such manly beauty! I really wanted to be able to be free to look where we were going and stuff so I made sure that Mom knew that I was mad by crying really loud. As soon as the motor started, I relaxed. Sigh, the purr of a powerful engine (I am a child after my father's own heart) is music to my ears! Then when we started going fast over the waves... Mom was bouncing up and down and I was bouncing up and down. Our friends were talking loudly and happily over the roar of the engine...the wind whipping past my face (covered from the sun and protected by a blanket, of course). It was so much fun that I couldn't help myself... I fell asleep.

Thanks for the ride Steve. Kim, Steve, Heather, Jason and Josh... thanks for making us feel important.

~grunts, Hunter
